Her inclination towards social causes reflected in her work since a very young age and came to a fruition when she started Shaheed Ramashray Welfare Society at the young age of twenty-five by putting in all her personal savings.

The inspiration that fuelled Devanshi to birth the NGO was the love, and teachings left behind by her father, Shaheed Ramashray Yadav. He worked as a Judicial Magistrate after clearing the L.L.M examination and later one went to clear the civil services examination and join the Indian Police Services.

He was martyred in a terrorist attack on his convoy on 23rd September 1992.

He continues to serve as an inspiration behind the organization’s aim to make the society a better place for the disadvantaged.
